Role Overview
The Data and Analytics Lead will play a crucial role, driving the data strategy and growing the analytics team and function. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in data analytics, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to transform data into actionable insights. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and optimise digital strategies for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the data and analytics function, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Develop and implement comprehensive data strategies to support digital marketing and development initiatives.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, data requirements, and challenges.
- Design and oversee data collection, processing, and analysis frameworks.
- Analyse data from multiple sources (web analytics, CRM systems, social media platforms, etc.) to identify trends, insights, and opportunities.
- Create detailed and visually compelling reports and dashboards to communicate findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with digital marketing, UX/UI, CRO and development teams to integrate data insights into campaign and project strategies.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and digital marketing.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all data sources and analytics processes.
- Mentor and train junior analysts, supporting their professional growth and development.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, Computer Science).
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within a digital agency or similar environment.
- Proficiency with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Contentsquare and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong statistical analysis skills and experience with data processing tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of using data to drive decision-making and optimise digital strategies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with CRM systems, social media analytics, and SEO/PPC analytics is a plus.
- Comfortable working remotely with occasional travel to client meetings and our London office.
Desirable Qualifications/ Experience:
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field.
- Experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and channels.
- Experience in web development analytics, CRO and user behaviour analysis.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices.
